    I think the original king cakes used a dry red bean.

    I used to live in Golden Meadow...loved the cap bread from Dufrene's. I bet it's still there.

    I was in Albertson's a couple of hours ago. They had their own king cakes for $7.99. They didn't look all that appetizing.

    If they still did the New Orleans Babycakes would be called the Dry Redbeans.
