1. i thought we couldnt recruit any more forwards (jk). any 5star is great. id be really impressed if ctj could get a 5star from so far away. shades of dale brown getting williams from Ca.
  2. SF Matt Derenbecker from Country Day HS recieved an offer tonight and he sounds pumped.
  3. Langston Galloway received an offer, too, and was told that he is #1 on LSU's board.
  4. Getting Galloway and Derenbecker for 2010 would be pretty big.
  5. To add he also said we are his leader right now but not looking to make an early decision.
  6. Yes, it would. The reason for the offers stems from the big Peach Jam in S.C. this past week, where Langston and Matt impressed.

Something that's worth mentioning with this whole "LA first" strategy tho' is how do these kids get along? It's naive to think that we'll land all of the greats from LA and chemistry is important as we saw with the 2006 FF team. Most of those LA kids had played together for along time. The Louisiana Select team has Galloway, Ludwig and Derenbecker--but would they consider going to the same school? Ludwig and Matt will both play for Country Day next year and you have to wonder if that'll play on their minds come commitment time.

Pat Swilling plays for the HP Elite team, and so far not a lot of news on how they're doing...

  7. If it wasn't already mentioned here, we should keep an eye on a kid named Aaron Dotson. The kid is a west coast kid hailing from none other than Seattle Washington, which is where Trent Johnson spent some good years.

The 6'4" SG is a recipient of another 2010 LSU offer. He's making some waves in Vegas.

  8. Jordan did real well in Vegas recently, scoring over 30 points in a game for the Celtics.

Vegas wraps up with little fanfare as far as LSU is concerned. Let's see if we start to see a few things develop in the next few weeks...
