1. How do you stir it in the microwave?
  2. Depending on how much you are making, set the microwave between 30 and 60 seconds for the first two cycless and stir after each cycle. Then reduce to somewhere between 30 and 15 seconds, again depending on quantity. Stir after each cycle. You can check color and will not burn if you don't set the cycle for too long. Probably best to go less time the first few times you make it, until you can judge. Besides not burning, you can cut your Holy Trinity while roux is cooking in microwave..,, I use a Pyrex measuring cup, but be careful, it does get very hot.
  3. Interesting but I think I'll stick with my iron skillet.

  5. Depends on the whiskey. Regular crown sure. But Crown Monarch, Makers Mark or Buffalos Trace you gotta drink that shit neat or with one or two cubes.
  6. Sometimes the tried and true methods are the best. Have you seen my goose quill pen? I need to send a tweet.

  8. Have to draw the line somewhere. If it hurts @CajunlostinCali so much that I use a jar roux he might stroke out if I made one in the micro.
