You're confusing the NFL with the NCAA. I'm not sure if it's actually written down as a by-law, but the only *rule* I know of are the numbers for interior lineman (50-79 if I recall correctly.) I know they prefer, or strongly suggest, wide receivers and tight ends to be 80-99. (FWIW, you'll find a link here with tackles who are eligible on passing plays. Teams are asked to notify the refs if one is largely due to those numbers--IE: #79 is an eligible receiver but refs tend to focus on numbers.)

The only "set in stone" rule is no two can have the same number and be on the field at the same time.

    FWIW

And another FWIW it didn't come from @LSUDad nor is it about one Cam Cameron.

"The Ball never touches the ground"

One of Canada's strictest rules: The ball doesn’t touch the ground after a touchdown. A player must hand it to the referee. The ball never touches the ground, Canada insists to the group of coaches. (As per Dellinger- the Advocate)

There is much to like in the reports and I'm very encouraged. There are some worries though. First and foremost is we're thin to put it mildly on the O Line. 8 scholarship players is scary I understand we get several back in the fall but we'll still be thin. The line is what makes things go and as thin as we are I fear injury could cripple us.
I don't blame Eaux for this it's what he inherited. It's something that could take its toll though and needs to be corrected ASAP.

We will be alright @Winston1 we finally have the 2 things we've always needed.

    1. An OC
    2. A head coach that won't lock him in a closet
