1. They could try Arden Key at outside linebacker. He is fast enough
  2. Out of tampons this early?

Did I say use more LB's? Or are you having trouble keeping up?

Hand time reports. I thought it was common knowledge that NFL combines are always "slower" than hand times. However, for forum purposes, hand times are used for discussion. It all evens out. 4.3's are 4.4's/4.5's etc.

Jones is 25 lb's lighter than Beckwith. He flys. Do you watch the games?

As usual? Link the last 3 QB threads "I" started.

  3. Second round if he can cover passes. Fifth round if he can't.

  4. What question did you ask?

Calling me a Nega and also saying I have "pre-programmed taling points" is pure gold.

What good does that do with what we currently have and a DC that doesn't adjust?
  5. Thats what DB's and OLB's are for.
  6. In the NFL a linebacker has to stop the run and cover passes. You know this.

  7. Totally agree with the point about him being the best we have. You won't get any argument from me on that. And he is really good in the run game. He reminds me a lot of Brandon Spikes against the run. Big, disruptive, not very fast, but Spikes was better at getting after the QB, not that that is Beckwith's fault, the scheme doesn't allow KB to get after the quarterback. I think Beckwith should stay another year at LSU, partly because I'm selfish and partly because I think he needs it.

  8. NFL teams draft based on strengths and weaknesses and how they fit their scheme and team. (at least the good ones do)

Beck-with isn't horrible at pass coverage. Its not his strength. He will be drafted on his ability to do what he does extremely well.

Example: Von Miller was not good in pass coverage but is a machine at getting to the QB. One of the best in this regard.
  9. I agree he should stay another year. I also think he looks a bit too chunky. Could be toned up and improve his reaction time to coverage.
  10. And I told you it was irrelevant to the discussion.

You just jumped in talking shit. Like usual.

If the problem is coverage and our LB's are struggling in coverage, it would be more creative of our DC to utilize less LB's..... OR, put them in a position that plays to their strengths. Certain zone coverage scheme's help to keep the WR's in front of them instead of having them run in stride with WR's/TE's.

We also run man coverage with little to no regard for the best WR on the opposing team. WHITE should be on the #1 WR at all times. We dont do that.

It doesn't take long for teams to figure out which patterns will force our weak-links into coverage.

Though as I type this, I understand no point is valid to you and all you look to do is talk shit.
