1. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Unless the coaches project Singleton as a red shirt LB prospect. Who really knows what Chavis is thinking and what he can develop.
  2. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Again, versatility. If he can project as a MLB, Singleton's stock rises that much more in LSU's eyes. We are a little thin at MLB (Cutrera, Minter and Prater is about it). Barrow appears to he headed to OLB, as is Jones and Mingo.
  3. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Bettin Singleton is a part of this class before the end of this weekend
  4. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

    Certainly sounds like it.
  5. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

    I agree
  6. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

I haven't heard where he played any LB before. I sincerely hope the 4.85 40- time isn't accurate if he is to play LB. That doesn't sound real quick or give me the impression he will be good in coverage. I think we need quicker LB's, not slow 235 lb guys against the spread.
  7. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

No way this kid is 4.85. He's only 6'0 235, same as Scott. Scott is 4.60 or possibly better.
  8. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Look on Scout. He ran a 4.86 at the New Orleans combine when he was 211 lbs. and 5'11''. His shuttle was 4.50 and his vertical was only 27.1. This may have been done some time ago since he only weighed 211, but you would think he would have been much faster than that. Perhaps Scout made a mistake and stuck a big ole lineman's times on his profile.
  9. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

I don't know - makes no sense to me to be talking LB about Singleton. Hell, he's having a hard time accepting himself as a FB. If anyone would be moving to LB, I'd think it'd be either Pratt or maybe Allen.
  10. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Ryan Baker seems like the next Ali Highsmith to me.
