The landscape of this sport is about to turn into an annual sales job to retain players. Some of the names being mentioned are nothing more than the latest flash in the pan type names. Hasn’t Fickell already been fired from a really good job once? Does Matt Campbell think Cajuns live in Shreveport? Baton Rouge getting better or worse? Stanford, lose to Stanford, who has already beat them this year? Stubborn coaches that REFUSE to adapt, have we seen that before? Personally I watch it happening in two places this year. However, I still say be careful what you wish for!
While I agree last night was like climbing a sheer cliff and your grip on the rocks just keeps getting worse the longer you hang there, until you fall. I dont like what I see college football becoming, a mini NFL, annual free agency phuckfest. I, like others that cheered EO hiring are at a complete loss as to what I see. that has also coached in this state, knows the difference in a crawfish and a lobster, knows the coaches in the high schools, and most importantly knows how to use the transfer portal to literally build a team overnight. I see he is also undefeated at this point once again this year and I have watched him completely out coach a guy that IN THE PAST, was a good coach. He knows La., and he apparently is an early leader on managing the revolving door college football is about to be. Someone will figure this out fast!
