1. How does that affect his win loss record?

  2. It doesn't. It affects how long he keeps his job
  3. I could care less how long he keeps his job, if he's a candidate for the LSU job I want to know if he can win games. From what I've see of his coaching at Texas he would be a step down from Miles. How in the hell do you go 4-6 at Texas?

  4. Because Brown stopped recruiting at a high level thing 5 stars were going to sign just because it's Texas. He left the program in a sorry state. Strong will win there if he gets enough time to rebuild

  5. He would be a lot better in the Southeast where he has ties to recruiting. If he were at Miami though???

  6. Well, if you judge a coach in short time that way, then the likes of Joe Paterno, Nick Saban, and many, many other HOF level coaches would never have been given the chance. I understand, you want someone who is more of a sure thing now. It's not like he hasn't won as a HC, and hasn't been successful at various levels. He's just trying to a correct a lot of things at a place in short order that is difficult politically, and was a wreck athletically when he it took over. His record doesn't reflect the success yet, but it will in time, if he is given it. LSU is looking for a coach now, and you may not like his record at UT so far. Strong will be successful, and would be a good choice for us, IMO.
    Exactly.
  7. I hear what everyone is saying, but I'm going to have to disagree. I think Strong would be a disaster.

  8. Disaster's a bit strong, but I hear ya.
