it has failed multiple times in past and it’s in a battle with mother nature right now too.

When is the last time, if ever, any work/improvements were made to the levee?

I have a friend who is a heavy equipment operator. He has been working on adding more dirt to the levee from New Orleans to St. Bernard Parish for the last 7 or 8 months.

Wow! What is the Federal, State or combination of both governments that allowed it to reach the point where it's taken this long for improvements?

feds, state, and local. a trifecta of clusterfuck.

it failed in ‘02 for Lili ; ‘03 for TS Bill ; ‘05 for Rita ; ‘08 for Ike.
