Years ago I had a conversation similar to this with the coach of the best high school team in the area, when Louisiana created separate championships for public and private schools. He said, all I can do is make the schedule and play the schedule. If we win enough games, they'll give us a trophy that says "champions" on it.
Per the SEC, no bands will be permitted to preform on the field. So no pregame or halftime shows this year. Thanks a lot, covid...
