1. because of the others that choose to play. it's kind of like the schedule, you can only play the ones that show up
  2. USC, Michigan and Nebraska wouldn't be threats to go to the playoffs this season. Oregon and Penn State might. But their pussy conferences chickened out of playing. Probably in their safe place trying to sort out the confusion about their gender identities.

  3. I feel that anger. Still doesn’t mean USC or Michigan can’t beat a top team. Can’t be a “National Champion” when a huge portion of the Nation doesn’t play. Point blank.
  4. I agree. Depending on who plays, if at all, we are poised more to play out a tournament than a playoff. Or could this be a testing ground for a 12 team playoff? Yunno, so some teams like aTm can get a taste of something they will never see. The whole thing sucks, but at least we are talking about some version of football, rather than no version at all.

  5. ACC isn't good. Clemson is basically the Bama of that conference.

Clemson and Bama have 9 games each in the CFB. Both are 6-3. Lets remove both for a second.

The rest of the leagues are as follows : W-L

    SEC: 3-1
Big 10 : 2-3 (Ohio only school to win a playoff game in the Big10)
    PAC12: 1-2 (Oregon only win)
    ACC: 0-1
    Notre Dame: 0-1
    Chokelahoma: 0-4

SEC: 3 teams have made it
Big 10: 1 team has made it
PAC12: 2 teams have made it
ACC: 2 teams have made it (3 if you count Notre Dame)
BigSuck: 1 team has made it

Interesting enough, the SEC is the ONLY conference to have every team that has made it to the CFB record a "win".

  6. Definitely. Very good point. We just have to adjust our expectations and be open minded then?
  7. wrong....

tell that to the 85 teams playing..... the huge portion you’re speaking of is the pac12 and big whatever... of those, Ohio st and penn st from the big and Oregon from the pac12 are considered contenders...

we can’t have a nc without them? Any sec team making the playoffs has a tougher, not easier schedule... why won’t the nc count again?

  8. It’s not that it doesn’t have value. Just not nearly as much with the whole country playing.
  9. If you opt out, you can bitch but aint nobody listening. Kinda like people that dont vote...

  10. I get that, but I’d say it would have a lot of value to the players, school, and conference no matter how many teams didn’t play...

kind of like that nc a certain team won with... gasp... 2 losses!! I mean, the trophy was tarnished, right?

    they still printed the shirts....
