Very good read and the rest is below: LSU Notes: QB Zach Lee continues to impress | shreveporttimes.com | Shreveport Times
That comment isn't really necessary. Even if TT was only being supportive to encourage a new player, that is part of his job as a veteran on the team. New kids, especially ones that have multiple choices as to what they could do with their careers, like go pro baseball, being encouraged by veterans like TT is a great sign that the team has a unity about it.
IMO it shows what we were missing with Garrett and what we are getting with Lee. Takes a confident freshman to call meetings and passing sessions with the vets weeks after stepping foot on campus. Shows me he is not going to sit around waiting for his turn and he is going to push the guys in front of him to get better.
Yep :thumb: Just more encouraging signs for us fans. This team has got leaders on it that are going to push each other to be the best. Something that has been sorely missing.
Not really necessary? At first I was encouraged to hear that Lee is improving and being ambitious already, hence the "Oh, thank God." My point was that if TT is trying to boost up his young QB, more power to him. I am only hoping that TT is also being honest about Lee being "all over it" and "pretty good." Remember when Miles said in '08 that Jarrett Lee was improving? We know it was for a confidence boost, and that was all. Obviously, he was not improving. Man, unless someone is straight up pumping sunshine, every post needs an explanation around here.
No, there is just no need to take a negative spin on a positive story. Only those that are always looking for something negative would do that. Everyone else, sunshine pumpers or not, would look at that story and only be encouraged by its content. The "Oh thank God" comment is solely due to your expectations of only something negative could be coming out of camp.
