Just read this article on The Advocate website. To be honest with you all, I am not quite sure what to think about old Skip lately. Several things come to mind, most recently the housing issue with LSU baseball players, and this little nugget I just read. Laval was an assistant under Skip for almost a decade, so you would think that he ran the LSU baseball program pretty similar to how Skip did during his tenure. Skip has also had some questionable hires in terms of what LSU fans would have expected (Miles and Mainieri come to mind). For me, Skip will always be a great Tiger, and one of the legends of college baseball coaching.

So, what are your thoughts on Skip and the state of the Tiger athletic program. Do you think he may be in over his head as A.D.?

I have good friends that work at TAF and they ALL tell me that the contract will terminate and he will not be offered a renewal. Some talks of Dan Ravoicach(sp) will come back as AD>

Yeah, I didn't like the fact that Skip got to choose his successor. Because he chose with his heart and not his head. And Smoke proved why that wasn't a good idea. Jury is still out on the Miles hire and can't judge the new BB coach until we see what he can do. Remember, Saban didn't have any championships until he got to LSU. Just wait and see.

Yep, he has hired 3 important coaches. One bombed, one lead her team to the final four in Wbball and the other went 10-2 in his first season and stands at 5-2 in the his second and we have no idea at this time how we'll finish; but that's just horrible.

The only horrible thing that has happened at LSU are all of the doom and gloomers who espress so much hatred for the coaches, players and admin at LSU.

Dude, the guy is in the middle of a major LSU audit, possible NCAA sanctions and was asked to leave but refuses to. Like always, his ego gets in the way in this incident the best interest of lsu. But you think he is doing a fantastic job. Skip really needs to step down.

Our athletic department, as a whole, is better than it's ever been. Someone must be responsible for that...
