The advocate just posted an article saying Kirby Smart was in the Hunt. I have a tough time believe that but after a few years with Saban, anyone could go crazy. I just hate to get a guy who will be gone in a couple years.
The only way I could see him coming would be if they promise Smart the job in a few years when Miles retires.

I know I mentioned that and maybe LSUdad did too. I think they also used this time to get rid of leaks...I know of one person being fired already for blabbing to newspapers. I have also been saying this hire wasn't going to be a quick one by any means. We have pushed all the defensive recruits coming to campus for visits until the 23rd so that is likely the deadline but it should be announced earlier than that. All of our defensive targets have been updated (without names mentioned) on the progress. Miles likely has his last 2 or 3 guys picked out but is being very secretive. At least one of those he must feel really good about. I believe only his agent, Les, and Dingman know who those targets are. Everything else has just been speculation and agents doing their job. I also believe Coach O is still in play for a staff position. I wouldn't expect much news to come out of this coaching conference either given then silence. Too many coaches will be there to sneak around.
