gets beat by eATMe? WOW...they projected Auburn would be facing BC or Pitt and it would be Utah and Boise St in the Fiesta. What a ratings CLUNKER those games would be. I would love for that to happen and totally screw the BCS up more than it already is. GO eATMe!
YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw the BCS!!!!!!!!!:cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
I'm not about to say, "screw the BCS" because if NOT for the BCS, USC would be SOLE national champs. Why all the anamosity towards the BCS??! :dis: The BCS has never left us out in the cold. BCS standings have NEVER affected us in a negative way. Who CARES what team out there gets stiffed this year by Boise St. and Utah?!?! More power to Boise St. and Utah! People scream for playoffs. "Playoff! Playoff! Playoff!" ... :sob: What?! Do the same people screaming for a playoff NOT want teams like Utah and Boise St. included?? ...if you don't have a problem with teams like those being included in a playoff format, then you SHOULDN"T give two terds whether or not 2 mid-major programs get a BCS bowl!
The main reason I say screw the BCS is because they changed the rules to favor weak conferences like the PAC 10 and took out the main components that put the best two teams in the championship game. Now the Human polls make up a lions share of the system making sure media darlings likw USC are given every chance to squeeze out teams that are more deserving because of a much tougher schedule. The BCS took a major step backwards after USC was left out like they should have been because they didn't earn a shot on the field, however now all they have to do is earn a shot in the press.:dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
You're coming from left-field Boston. Why on Earth would anyone who supports a playoff sysem not want Utah and Boise St included if their record justified it? I think the idea behind wanting these teams in the BCS is simply because the BCS itself doesn't want them. If you think the BCS sucks, you might like to see them not get what they want. The fact that the BCS prevented USC from winning outright says nothing about whether the BCS is superior to a playoff system. It just means it's better than what came before, which was no system at all.
Well, we can debate about BCS vs Playoff till we're all blue in the face --> :bncry: ...but college football, and it's partners, make WAY too much money on bowl games. They'll never change ...... :yelwink2:
I may be in the minority here, but I really don't want a playoff. I like the bowl system the way it is. I definately think when there's 3 undefeated teams from BCS conferences that a +1 game for the championship would be the way to go. If a playoff is instituted, it should be between the 4 winners of the BCS games. That way, the season is only extended by 2 games.
