Yikes! Hundreds of truckers block Florida Turnpike

    in protest of high fuel prices. The article says "gas", but I'm sure they're protesting mostly diesel.

    I didn't see any buildup for this event. Hard to imagine this was spur of the moment, though.

    Although I surely sympathize with their plight I don't see how such a stunt will in any way help them.

    I agree, what do they think this will do, increase supply or something? I imagine it's a symbolic move...

    It will have the same effect as a NYC taxi driver honking his horn at the unattended truck blocking the roadway.
