1. I could think of a few teams that if the opportunity was there for it to happen then I'd love to see it done.

Is it beneficial to run up the score when you have the chance to? Do you risk injuries to do so?

At the end of the year, does margin of victory mean a whole lot when it comes to those final BCS rankings to determine bowl seedings / pairings?

If LSU is winning a game handily in the second half, do you think that Miles would continue to run up the score on the other team?
  2. well i like when you actually put a game out of reach and its something i look forward to if Les decides to go this route.

Saban, as successful as he was, is a tad too conservative for my liking.

Whether its good or bad is a fine line. You can run an offense like Spurrier and develop a swagger where the offense believes it will score everytime. However, when they struggle against a more physical team a high octane offense tends to implode. Panic often sets in.

A team has to learn how to win close games and play under pressure before it gets too cocky for its own good.

so i wish for a happy medium.
  3. screw it... I hope LSU blows every team out of the water.

I want teams to fear us. :angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire

Is it a reality of us running up the score every game?

    Probably not...

Heres my view of it... If its Appalacian state... a couple touchdowns for margin of victory...

If its Aubarn, Bama, Tenn, Florida, Georgia...

    :geauxtigeLET ER RIP:geauxtige
  4. It would sure be nice to win by more than 7 points once and awhile. Last season just about killed me. I was so drained after just about every game, it was all I could do to walk back to the truck. Over the last two seasons the D would play great and the O would stay stagnant the whole game. We need some good ole' 56 - 6 games. There is no such thing as boring.
  5. In the Rose Bowl against USuCk, Letterip.
  6. Florida

Give Urban Meyer a taste of his own medicine. :geauxtige
  7. If we are way ahead in the 4th quarter, no you don't keep passing, but you do keep playing and let your reserves play to their full potential. Before the 4th quarter anything goes.
  8. If that team is Oklahoma, I bet you that he does! :D :thumb:

I can see him staying aggressive on the offensive side of the ball in all of our games. Now, that doesn't mean that the starters will be in the game, but we have a lot of capable backups....and given the experience he had with OSU, where no lead was safe (of course they didn't have the defense that we have), I think it's a pretty save bet to think that Miles won't come close to having us in a situation where we back off.
  9. I think it is fine to adjust the players, but not the strategy:

if you are up 42-0, have no problems letting your 2nd or 3rd Qb throw it around a bit to get him some work:

Especially in our case with as many potentially talented QBs as we have
  10. From actual playing experience, I never held back because it always seemed like you were more prone to injury if you were only going through the motions.

That being said, a coach should always be aware of who he has on the field to prevent some key players from getting banged up for no good reason.

    So...
If you are blowing another team out, take your first string players out and let the others get valuable playing time and make sure they are going full speed.
