With everyone is saying we are going to roll Notre Dame, their players have to see that and get upset, plus they have to keep answering questions about not being able to win a bowl game....I have a feeling we are going to face a very fired up Notre Dame team...we better be ready ourselves or we could have problems similar to what we faced against Ole Miss..only Notre Dame is a much better team talent wise than Ole Miss is.

Been there, done that...and let me tell you. They'll be ready to play. But We have home field advantage. OU came in pumped up to play us, and It was like we were in Death Valley...It's gonna be LOUD and CRAZY in Nawlins...

Yes, Notre Dame will be fired up to play, but that isn't going to suddenly make them invincible. We'll also be fired up and ready, and I'll take a fired up LSU over any team on any given day.

I wouldnt worry about media coverage, they try to spin it to get viewers.

Come game time they'll have a spin on some sort of upset.

The Tigers need to come out "pumped" regardless of who they are playing.

They came out flat agaisnt Ole Miss and we see how that worked. it doesn't matter who you play, you need your head and heart in the game.

I think we will come out strong because it is a major BCS bowl and our guys want to prove a point. I think the irish will come out pumped too, but I really don't think it will help them unless we are flat, and I doubt that.

    Media coverage???
    You're playing Notre Dame.
By gametime, the media will be saying the game is a toss up... a game for the ages... the ghost of Rockne is on the field...

Then the game will start... and right after the kick off one of the announcers will say, "Be sure to watch tomorrow night's CBS special show on the Brady Family Reunion"... and the other announcer will say, "No way I'd miss that".

    media.

"OU came in pumped up to play us"

I seem to remember Zero U coming into that game thinking they had won it already. Everybody here was talking about how they were "going to hang half a hundred' on us, how they were gonna shut us down and we'd "be lucky to make a first down", etc. In other words, they had the same attitude I see from most of our fans concerning the SB. All this talk does is give the other team motivation and when it's coupled with the media pundits like Mike Gottfried saying it's going to be a "slaughter", then it just makes it worse!
Make no mistake about it, ND is decent team with an excellent coach and staff and given this much time before the game, fully capable of coming up with a game plan to win.
Plus they have ample enough motivation to win without any help from us. They don't want to become the only team in NCAA history to lose 9 straight bowl games. They are playing against an SEC team, a team from "the toughest conference in the country" and so want to dispel that as myth.
I for one wish everybody would just stfu and just let the game come on.
I don't doubt for one second that we are better than ND but we were also better than UAB, Colo. St., Houston, Southern Miss., Miami of Ohio, etc. and Bama was better than us When Pigs Flew! But the best team doesn't always win and the lesser team doesn't need anymore motivation than being the underdog. And especially when the underdog is a good team and capable of winning.

So continue to be confident of a win, but tone down the rhetoric a little and show some respect for the Domers.
