LSU won a hard fought battle over #13 Texas Tech, 76-68. How impressive is this? Well in 6 years, Tech had lost only 8 times at home. Seimone and Syl of course led the way with double doubles but RaShonta LaBlanc went a long ways in securing the point guard spot for her own. She had 5 points, 8 assists and 0 TOs. Schlonda Hoston also came forward with 10 points. A good game with shich to start out the season.

It was a good game. Semoine played well as usual. Fowles is a terror. I thought Leblanc had 4 assists anyway great game. They said over 14,000 in attendance. Huge WIN!

  5. Looks like Pokey turned out to be the real deal.

was a very good game. seimone with a QUIET 32 points and about 14 board. typical double double for her.

this guard leblanc is gonna be pretty good.

oh i couldnt believe they said Tx Tch women outdraw Bobby Knights men with 12K a game. that blew my mind. i thought only the UTs of the world did that.

You have the type of team that can beat Tech. Tech doesn't have the muscle to compete on the boards, and LSU is still quick enough to play off the ball. Great game, maybe Tech can learn something and meet you late in the NCAA's.:thumb:

We in Lubbock will soon be treated to CRMK's exasperation concerning attendance of non-conference ball games. The only good thing about poor attendance is that my Hospital gets courtside and baseline seats for employees during the Christmas break.

It really is interesting how quiet CRMK is during most of the game; he is studying every aspect of the game as it is played. Definitely not a coach so involved being a cheerleader that he would miss the little things.

Back to the Lady Raiders, Marsha Sharp is loved here. A major East\West Expressway being built in Lubbock, (10 year Project) is named the Marsha Sharp Freeway. A lot of people would have liked to have their name on this project, but a non political Marsha has the honor.

Actual attendance, Tech gets 6K-8K for Non-Conference and Holiday games, 10K-12K for most Conference games, and 15K for UTexas, TAMU, OU, and Kansas. Attendance is usually overstated as they announce tickets sold, not turnstile.

Didn't know you were a fan, Tirk. Next time I get some memorabilia I will save a piece for you. I just gave away my last autographed pictures of Coach and Pat from the Coaches against Cancer Breakfast. I don't get much stuff, so it may take a little time.
