There has to be a meeting so that Skip can tell them that they are dreaming. LSU has and will continue to play Southern in other sports, but football can't afford to play any more Division IAA schools for a while.
Why Why dont they try to move up the Zona game from 2006 to next year? They play SD State at SD State next year I bet if the ask to move the 2006 game up to next year and move the SD State game back to 2006 then it would help. I dont think that other schools would mind moving games around if we did them a favor down the road I mean we could get a game with SD State down the road.
For all we know, they were probably just meeting to finalize arrangements for the basketball, baseball, soccer, and softball games for the next few years. Folks, we're not playing Southern in football. It won't happen. So quit worrying about it.
You're right about not playing any D1AA teams but unfortunately we might be stuck again in 2004 because of getting fucked by V Tech. LSU is not going to be able to schedule a Florida State or a Texas or an Ohio State for 2004 at this late a date. We will be lucky if they can get a game with a CUSA or a MAC team instead of a Sunbelt or worse team. Nebraska has an open date on the date that VT backed out of but since Nebraska only has 5 home games scheduled as of now they are looking to schedule a home game just like LSU is. Right now the very best we can hope for would be for one of the weak sisters in the Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10 or ACC to need a game. I would rather see even a Baylor or a Duke than another USL or Western Illinois.
