Let's face it, it's offense first and defense is secondary in his mind.

Get used to 35-31 scores people. He did it at OSU, it's not gonna be a whole lot different here, even with the elevated talent level.

I am just disgusted with the way this team is poorly coached, and that falls entirely on Miles' shoulders. Hopefully it's just the fact we didn't get to work out the kinks against N. Texas State. I am banking on that.

2 weeks prep for Tennessee is exactly what we will need to win that game.

    Go Tigers!

    My comments on the game:
Extremely lucky to win this game--thank God for the special teams play!!
We did not look like a top ten team. Really needed that N. Texas game and needed this one at home!
Defensive secondary was AWOL--hope we can find them this season, if they exist! ASU QB passed at will, with LSU defense giving all receivers at least 5 yds. cushion on every play.
JaMarcus Russell looked great; would have been even better if his receivers could catch!! Also concerned about offensive line giving him enough time.
Most troubling observance--this team does not have the discipline that Saban's teams had. Too many late hits and unnecessary dirty plays, several not caught by the officials, but easily seen on TV. Not proud of that effort!Glad the Tigers won, but need a lot of work before Tennessee (especially defense)!!

Sounds just like the '02 team to me.

I read an article a few months ago about the head coaching change at LSU. Question was, how do you replace a GREAT coach.

    Answer was: You Don't.

Wooden leaves UCLA, Bear leaves Bama, Lombardi leaves the Packers, Osborne leaves Nebraska.

When you have one, ENJOY IT.

I am not sure that it was lack of discipline, but lack of concentration. I am hoping that it was just the circumstance of the last two weeks showing, no matter how much they wanted to go out and play ball.

Most of those guys were with their teams for quite awhile. Saban got wet at the tought of coaching an NFL team where he would have complete control. He'll be back in the NCAA in a few seasons once "professional" players get tired of his "intensity" (yelling.) CNS is way too cocky, I sure hope this Miami gig will calm him down a little.

The only way LSU won!!!!!!!!!! 11 penalties!!! Nick would have been lifting asses airborne with his right foot after a quarter!

I cannot ever remember an LSU team EVER PENALIZED MORE!!!:dis:

A lot of factors go into that. High emotions cause more penalties. First game jitters will cause a few penalties from just getting used to playing a live game. Combine those two & add in a very talented ASU team at their house, and it's easy to understand how it happened.

I would have to say there was a lot of anger on LSU's side of the field. There would be only one reason that the LSU players could get THAT angry, and that would be smack talking by the ASU players. And by smack, I mean them talking about them losing their homes, and such.
