With hobbled WRs, who do we turn to on 3rd and 6?

I am thinking Richard Dickson is going to need to have the game of a lifetime. He can catch the rock and with our WRs gimpy, we are going to need to throw the ball to win. Richard Dickson, your time has come.

Am I blind or do we not really look to dump off passes to our RBs on the screen pass? Along with looking over the middle to our TEs, I think that may be a nice play to look this week at if our main WRs are hurtin.

Tolliver and Byrd are not hobbled and will have to step up.

yeah. I am thinking Dickson, Byrd, a few more throws to Toliver and perhaps screen passes to Hester, Scott and with a wide-out screen to Holliday will be the ticket.
All this if the worst case scenario plays out and Doucet and LaFell cant go.

I'm expecting a lot of Holliday this game and some off da hook plays designed for him.

In years past, Crowton has used his TE's a lot in his offensive schemes. Also, we have Byrd, who's playing well and AT TIMES, Jared Mitchell has played well. Chris Mitchell is getting some reps as well. And let's not forget Tolliver. He's played very well too.

Doucet and LaFell at less than 100% (or not playing) will suck. But, honestly, if the offensive line has few penalties and can handle a Florida stunt-fest, then we'll be fine. Hester has yet to play significantly in this department and, as CParso points out religiously, he's good. Dickson has proven he can control the ball. Byrd could've had a couple of long TDs if the passes had been there, and we've all been reading/talking about Toliver.

So, really, the offensive line play is more critical to 3rd and 6 than who's running the routes. Not THE crucial thing, but MORE critical.

Take a step back and look at what we're discussing. Hobbled WRs, starting QB with a bad ankle, lost a DL to a knee injury....

And we're #1, no doubt about a victory this Saturday with a top 10 Gator team coming in, wow.

True, but Doucet and LaFell at 85-90% are better than most at full speed. :thumb:
