this guy hung tough, even on those 2 and 3rd and long plays. Spread it out and he throws for 300 today. Way to hang guy.
I am bigtime hater of this seasons playcalling, but I thought the coaches nutted up for most of the second half and let the guys go out and win the game. So you can't bitch to much since they made good adjustment on both sides of the ball at the half.
He still has a ways to go to reach his very high potential but he is indeed improving and looked pretty good in the face of a damn good defense today.
I don't understand why people say he isn't clutch and can get rattled. He has done this numerous amount of times. JR is as clutch as they get.
Oh yea we also won this game without Addai. It would have helped having him. Props to JV. He didn't have the numbers, but did what he could. Great job JV!
They say that becuase he USED to cough it up, or make poor decisions. these last 3 games he's looked like a million bucks to me though. He's like Tony the Tiger GREEEAAAAAATTTTT :thumb:
3 times from the Bama 45 yard line? and we run it up the middle 1st down every time? made the adjustments, then back to Dinardo ball. Once again, Miles plays with daddy's loaded gun and gets lucky. Get rid of Jimbo if he's the problem. Not to mention running Addai last week, knowing he'd prob. get injured this game. Another stupid call last week and could have cost us. good game Vincent.
JR is now officially on the map in terms of premier NCAA Div-I QB's. BALLSY performance from this young man, and an in the most hostile of environments...which also happens to be near his old stomping ground. And he's still improving. His pocket presence and ability to avoid the sack really came together in this game. He is going to be one of the great ones, when all is said and done.
