We have met the enemy, and he is us. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&e=1&u=/ap/20031020/ap_on_re_us/planes_searched http://www.msnbc.com/news/982235.asp?cp1=1 Get with the freakin' program, people. The forces of radical Islam want to kill us! THEY WANT TO SLAUGHTER AND DESTROY EVERY LAST MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND ISRAEL! THEY WANT TO CONVERT THE ENTIRE REST OF THE DAR-UL-HARB (the land of infidels) TO ISLAM! THIS IS A FIGHT TO THE DEATH! A FIGHT WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE! NO EXCUSES!   :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :sob: :sob: :sob: :dis: :dis: :dis:
Umm..... We have not captured Bin Laden.... We have not captured Sadam.... The war is not against Islam but the ineptitude and false reasoning of this administration..... There is only one answer.....
Bush had his chance to kill Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora and he blew it. Why he didn't commit thousands of soldiers and Marines to surround the area instead of allowing a ragtag bunch of half paid mercenaries to allow him and his staff of terrorists to escape is beyond me. Bush is incompetent and surrounded by right wing nuts who are more interested in conquering oilfields than in fighting terrorists.
Ya'll two completely missed the point. I posted this to point out some glaring problems with the FBI, such as that boxcutters and dangerous materials were on planes for weeks, with the FBI being tipped off about it, and were not discovered for five weeks, and that we are having a hard time finding Arabic/Farsi translators, and the few that we do have can't be trusted. In light of what has happened with the recent security breaches at Guantanamo Bay, I am having a hard time considering any Muslim to be trustworthy. Perhaps every Muslim/Arab assigned to work jobs sensitive to national security ought to have to pass a polygraph, while asked such pertinent questions as "If you had to lie to, lure into a trap, or kill a fellow Muslim that you knew to be a terrorist, to save America from suffering another catastrophic terror attack, would you have any problem carrying that assignment out?" Extreme? I don't think so, not with so much on the line. But some Muslim FBI agents even go so far as to refuse to wear a wire when they are asked to go on missions to penetrate suspected domestic terror cells. So the question "Whose side are you on?" is legitimate in my mind. And yes, we are in a protracted war with the more radical wing of Islam, the Al-Qaida/Hamas/Wahhabi wing that preaches death to the infidels in the mosques and madrassahs every Friday, the wing that foams at the mouth to kill Jews and Americans and worships Bin Laden, and the wing that thinks 9/11 was a good thing. These people exist, they are numerous, they are well financed and supported, and they wish to destroy us. It's only a matter of time before they find another chink in the armor, and use it to kill God knows how many of our fellow citizens. The FBI and Homeland Security need to get on the ball, and I was hoping for perhaps, some creative suggestions from you guys. But, once again, you two saw this as another oppurtunity for another cheap shot at President Bush. I'm disappointed. Take the time to avail yourselves of just how serious the situation is at this website: http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog Still believe the war was about oil, CB66? Tsk, tsk, tsk. You know what the war was really about. Come on. Think about it.
Oh, and Biggles, you might actually like the site if you give it a chance. The guy who runs it, Charles Johnson, hardly gives Bush a free pass, especially about the continued cozy relationship with Saudi Arabia, who anyone with half a brain realizes is not our friend. But, he gives Bush a whole lot of credit for many other things, and the benefit of the doubt almost always. Almost.
Jetstorom: In light of what has happened with the recent security breaches at Guantanamo Bay, I am having a hard time considering any Muslim to be trustworthy. After your defense of David Duke voters, why am I not surprised? lol
Jetstorm, the kid who planted the boxcutters might be a nutcase but now he faces up to 20 years in prison because he embarressed the security system. Instead of prosecuting him maybe they should hire him as a security consultant. The Politically correct liberal crowd will bash GWB forever even as he continues to track down and kill the very people who would gloat as much over killing some American liberals as they would over killing me or you. The American armed forces under Bush might have failed to take out Osama bin Laden but at least they were trying. Bill Clinton failed to act when he could have had Osama's head handed to him on a silver plate.
well, even if osama and saddam are not caught yet, at least there has been no more domestic terror. maybe thats not enough, but i am happy about it. after sept 11th i was worried ney york might become terror-ridden like israel and i was sorta scared by it (i live in new jersey on the hudson waterfront directly opposite wtc). so when looked at from the perspective of prevention of more terror , we seem to be doing an ok job? i mean isnt the most important thing prevention and domestic security?
