Will Mccarron buckle under the pressure?

Haven't seen anyone bring this up or I might have over looked it, but I don't think Mccarron is going to be able to handle the pressure.

Yes he is 7-0 as a starter, but he hasn't been battle tested, and haven't had to make those clutch throws in a tight game, and haven't faced a D like ours. Both J Lee, and JJ have been there and done that. So I think if its as close a game as everyone is expecting i think its a HUGE advantage for us.

And I personally think it was a mistake for BAMA to watch the AU LSU game. Cause it was basically a perfect game, and i think they are somewhat in awe of that. And the lack of focus during the Tenn game showed that. This LSU team on the other hand is walking around with "swagger." They are focused and determined on their goal, and it doesn't matter who they have to play no one is stopping them.

I think McCarron throws a pick or two in this game. .. basically because of what you said .. he hasn't experienced it.

He'll get sacked a few times .. and he will be confused by the secondary a few times. If we cut off the T.R. screen, he'll be lost, as that is his bread adn butter play. I don't expect him to throw down field a lot. That would just be dangerous for a first timer against this LSU secondary.

BUT .. he will be more effective than some people think he will be. He's a good kid, and a great player. I don't think the pressure will bother him as much as just having to put up with our defense.

McCarron will feel more pressure than he's ever felt before b/c our Dline is & secondary is incredibly fast. I think Chief will send 5-7 man blitzes early & often on passing downs b/c they don't have any stud deep threats, & even if they did, I would still trust our secondary to cover anyone man on man. If this game were in Death Valley, I think it would put much more pressure on him, so he's lucky it's at home. However, you have to also throw in the Little Nicky factor. He's only a soph. & hasn't faced much adversity all year long & hasn't played against a top ranked team all year long, & b/c they're playing the #1 team in the country, Saban's old team against the coach he probably detest the most. I think McCarron, & the entire team feels the pressure b/c Saban probably threatened to take away their scholarships from them if they make a mistake. It's a shame that a game of this magnitude (once in a blue moon) has to be on the road, especially in gumpville, but the Tigers love playing on the road in big games as underdogs. They thrive in that environment, & that's a testament of their head coach. The hat is cool as a cucumber in these situations, & that rubs off on his team.

For some reason I expect TM7 to sling his ass to the ground, take the ball from him, and score a TD.

I don't expect him to fold. Bama has a good o-line and he will have some time to throw. I expect a pick, but I also expect a pick from our qb situation as well.

Keep in mind that Mccarron faces the Bama defense in practice every week so it's not like it's the first time he's seen talented players across the line of scrimmage. The same is true for our qb squad.

Would love to see it. We do have a track record of putting some hits on Bama QB's in the recent past...

I respectively disagree with you. Even though he might practice against the bama D, he's still wearing that "can't touch me" jersey. He won't be able to wear that on Nov. 5th. The pressure he encounters in practice will be nothing like he experiences in real game time with those big D line man trying to kill him.

There is a good reason for you to expect that: Honey Badger is the "strip 6" KING! I hope he does it again in this game too.
