Will Andrew Whitworth be able to handle Pollack on his own?

My guess is yes. Whitworth isn't just big, he is also quick. Many people believe Whitworth has the potential to be a top flight NFL tackle. I believe this will be #76's game to display his ability and outshine his potential. Pollack might be one of the best, and I am not downplaying his ability, but, I believe Whitworth is one of our best linemen ever and will give him all he can handle. Forget all the receivers, db questions, and qb facts...THIS WILL BE THE MAIN BATTLE OF THE GAME! Contain Pollack and Jimbo will be able to open up the offense. Need to put a rb on Pollack in addition to Whitworth, ...then things work out about as well as a fart in a space suit.

Until I see someone physically handle Pollack under consistency, I am going to have to say no. USC sent their best (who was quite good too) along with another defender and they still couldn't handle the guy.

Andrew Whitworth won't see Pollack...They'll line Pollack up on Reed, who's considered the lesser of the two tackles, and a much less tougher load...

Not because Pollack is a lesser player (which I think he is), but because it makes good football sense to create poor matchups...

TigerEducated, The tackle from Arkansas, who is an All-American did not handle Pollack. Remember, Pollack wasn't the SEC POY for nothing. He squats 750 and if he gets under you your history. Last I checked Whitworth wasn't considered the best tackle in college, but Pollack is the best DE far and away. Pollack may be contained but not at the expense of freeing up others to make plays. Thomas Davis (#10) especially.

Your reading comprehension skills need some refinement, sir...

My intent with that message was to indicate that they'll line up Pollack on Reed, who's a LESSER player than Whitworth...

No matter how GOOD your player is, you want to create the matchup that's MOST likely to cause POSITIVE plays for your team on defense.

If Whitworth is better than Reed, even if your player is superior to both, you want him to face up against the player that will allow him to succeed with better results in comparison. This isn't football strategy. It's called simple common sense...

Did that one work, or do I need to break out the crayons and construction paper and use pictograms?

I was commenting on your parentheses remark that states that YOU believe Pollack to be the lesser player. I AM SURE I READ THAT CORRECTLY. If that was not your intent then You are the one who has the symantic difficulties.

I am not sure USC has a football team. I would use some other comparison.

Thanks for the clarification....Mix in some periods into your replies to help separate each complete thought...it helps others with their understanding of your missives...

BTW-Pollack will be neutered along with the rest of the Dwags, no matter HOW MUCH HE SQUATS on Saturday!
