Why won't Palin talk?

This is pretty much pissing me off. She isn't talking to the media, she's not going to participate in a debate. I am used to an administration that keeps the American people in the dark, but why would I vote for another that doesn't have the best interest of America at heart?

It's obvious they are trying to shield her from the "gotcha media", and get her ready to face a number of questions she has not had to answer before. I would prefer she were out front myself, but if she is going to come out and look as stupid as Biden does, then she should probably stay away from the press.

As to no debate, that's the first I have heard of it. Has the Oct. 2nd vp debate @ Washington University been canceled?

This woman will be next in line for the president if McCain wins and her handlers are shielding her from the press? How can they claim to have America's best interest at heart when they are afraid Palin won't be able to handle the press or an actual debate?

Apparently it is no longer a debate. Each VP candidate will be able to address questions, but they won't debate each other (and probably won't be on the stage together). It seems the Republicans pushed for a change in format. The fckin republicans are trying to pull a fast one on us. I'm infuriated. :angryfire

McCain does not have the best interest of America at heart. Instead he wants to win and doesn't mind fleecing the American people. I'm a registered Republican and disgusted.

    What he said.

Sounds similar to the "debate" McCain and Obama did in Cali a few weeks ago. No one complained about the format then.

Give the process time to develop. It's a long time until election day.

McCain definitely aint winning any votes because of this. This is the kind of action that pisses independents off. I think thats a true statement. Most folks want transparancy. Its like they are hiding her from something. Gotcha media isnt an excuse, all of the candidates have gone through that. This along with the troopergate investigation, spells something of a cover up. Even if their isnt anything to cover up, she should be open and willing to be a public servant, which thats what she is running for.

Better to keep quiet and have people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt (Biden).

Typical Liberal overreaction. Palin was meeting privately with word leaders and they didn't want the media in there. There's probably political motive but having the Obama campaign...err, media misrepresent what went on would be worse.

Sad ain't it? Lightweight, lightweight, lightweight.

She's chosen to enter a very hot kitchen if she can't take the heat.

Well since she doesn't belong to the national debate team(like Obama, McCain and Biden), they probably want to polish her up at the very least. You seem to have some strong ideas about everything but I am sure if you were named as a vp candidate, you might get a few weeks prep time as well before they threw you to the wolves.
I thought you just wanted to hear what she had to say? Why do you care if it is in a format that is more comfortable for a Senator, as opposed to a real life situation? I suppose you really don't care what her answers are and actually just want to see blood in the water from a sparring match?
    Yes, those dastardly dastards...
How is he fleecing you? I thought the other guy was raising taxes?

Even the producers at Fox News, were upset and went on the air to say how they have never seen something like this before. They called it unprecedented.

Cover up? Talk about your knee jerk reaction. You guys are funny. You sure seem anxious to discredit her, and McCain's impending death was hardly ever mentioned until he named her. The press and the electorate are going to get plenty of opportunity to grill her, and if they feel they don't know enough, they won't elect her, so I wouldn't worry so much.

McCain himself has not answered questions from the press for like six weeks. Maybe he is dead and didn't know it. And I hear Obama is holing up in Florida for three whole days before the debates. He must be building his death ray.

It's a cover up I tell you.
