Why the negativity?

Just like the rest of the LSU faithful, I too am disappointed with tonight's loss. UGA was the better team and deserved to win. They came out ready to play, and the Tigers, unfortunately, had nothing left in the tank. The penalties, turnovers, and inconsistent offensive play that were problematic during the season all factored in tonight. Eleven weeks with no break is a lot to ask of these young men, especially when we look back at all the uncertainty, not just after one hurricane, but two! The team stayed together, stayed focused, had to adapt to a new coaching staff -- sheesh, let's give 'em a break!

Ya know what? A 10-2 record is nothing to sneeze at. This year's team was a special team. They went through a lot, and I'm proud of them and proud of LSU. Sure, we can all analyze the season and say we were lucky to win a few, and that Miles is not anything like Saban, ad nauseum...
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, and good teams make their own breaks, thus making their own luck. We can also speculate about next year and beyond, but I think we should at least reflect back on the season with pride. How many previous Tiger teams have won 10 games in a season? I think maybe only 7 before this year. That, my friends, is something to be proud of. We can still make it 11-2.

Well that's it. Off to bed...

Because we looked like shlt and got our asses handed to us... tends to cause some negativity toward coaches and players

I agreed with most of what you said, but I disagree entirely with this statement. I'd much rather be good than lucky. If you're good, you shouldn't rely on luck. This goes for anything (i.e., poker, basketball, football, video games, life, etc.)
