have a bitch with Oklahoma? OU lost a darn football game just like we did and just as USC did. The bitch session is not with OU or LSU. I agree 100% with some of the post that clearly state, we all played by the same rules. Now USC wants to cry foul. The damn media and talking heads constantly stated that OU was in win or lose.

LSU knew that and so did USC. So now that it's happened, they want to cry about it. Pete C. took the wrong position, about USC playing for the NC. His ass is trying to change the rules and gain sympathy for the outcome. If you beat his team he would want to keep playing until they scored more points.

The recognized NC is from the sugar bowl. Every team starting the season off knew that in advance. No they do not have a bitch. It does not matter that OU lost by 28 points or 45 points. The system is the BCS, not the AP. The AP is a part of the BCS, and a small part, if it were a big part of the system, USC would be in the Sugar bowl. I don’t deny the system needs to be adjusted and a couple of rules applied.

As far as I'm concerned, USC deserves what they got. I don’t care if they played 9 overtime periods in their damn loss, in the end they lost. Not one person told the jerks to buy tickets or make reservations in New Orleans. The fat lady had not sung nor had she started warming up. I've lived and breathed purple & gold since 1969, and this is the very best season for me as an LSU fan. I be damned if I'll buy into this crap about two NC games, and allow these cry babies to take away from our wonderful season and what this team and coaching staff has accomplished.

LSU and OU are playing for the NC and USC is playing the consolation game period. Is that fair, yes because it’s the system, like it, love it or hate it, but in the end it's the system every team played in.

USC & their fans can focus on the Rose, and make a run next year, or continue to act like weenies, cry to the world how much holier than thou they think they are, I don't give a chit. They can pucker up and kiss my ass.

Its not just USuCk and their fans clamoring about the Rose Bowl. Every single publication, web site and news source is calling it the other NC Game. Some go as far as calling the sugar bowl a "disaster". The media is fu%$cking us again.

Funny how the system is fair now that LSU is in it. If Notre Dame or Hawaii would have won, we would not be in the Sugar Bowl ... and no LSU fan would be claiming the system is fair!

USC won their conference, OU didn't ... USC has every right to complain and should be playing LSU!

I hear what you are saying, but I don't care. In the end, LSU or OU will be the National Champions! These same publications said all year that LSU is overrated. I personnaly will not allow them to taint this for me. My team did what was asked with exception of UF. So I'll add the publications to the list that can kiss my ass!

There needs to be a clause that you have to win your conference to be in the national championship game. They should've added it after the Nebraska fiasco when we screwed everything up by defeating Tenn. USC has a valid argument, at least a better one than Oklahoma.

TigerWins: I have room on that list for you too. I have you to know that although I wanted LSU to play in the Sugar, I was one fan content with 12-1 and another BCS bowl. I didn't say the system is perfect or not. I said it's the system. USC does not have a bitch. They were playing for the Sugar, not the damn AP. There should be some adjustments after the season such as if a team does not win their conference, they cannot play for the NC. LSU could have lost to UGA and not made a BCS bowl.

ChuckE...I have been saying this all along. I agree 100% with you...My post earlier today touched on this....USC knew how the system works, there isn't a "USC bias" in the BCS formula, so they need to stop the "USC is playing for the national title" crap becuase they are not...OU and LSU are...

ChuckE .... I could care less if you have room for me on your list.

You know as well as I do LSU and its fans would be crying foul just like USC.

Unitl we get a playoff, we will have these problems...

Yes, TigerWins, we probably would be crying...but that doesn't change the fact that we all(sec,big12, PAC10, etc...) signed an agreement with the BCS to use its format. Just because something doesn't go your way doesn't mean you can completely abandon something that you are contractually binded to....

TigerWins - Here is the flaw in your hypothetical argument regarding LSU Hypocrisy: YES, our FANS would be upset if we were left out of the BCS; and YES our FANS would complain. But I GURANTEE you that our complaints would not be echoed by ESPN, ABC, and the majority of the sportsnews press.

Let's face it, if USC wins by ANY margin, then the outcome of the BCS (rightful) championship game will be irrelevant to the AP writers - because they have now have an agenda that is far, far more noble and lofty than merely voting for the best team - no, their agenda is now to KILL THE BCS and to exert their autonomy!! And a USC win over Michigan, no matter how sloppy, will allow them to do that. The dilution of a legitemately earned NC (potentailly by LSU) will just be a sacrifice for the greater good.

So yes, if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd all be pissed - but our collective rants would not be a BLIP on the national media's radar. So before you start with the hypocrisy argument, please note - it is NOT about the fans!! - It's the about the media. It's about unprofessionalism and the sacrifice of what could be LSU's first NC in 45 years...just so that the media can make a statement.
