Anybody ever wondered why you can only get 24 ounce beers as singles? I'm guessing it's because folks normally buy these fenceposts for the drive home. I worked with a guy who bought a 24 oz. Bud Light ever single day after work for his drive to Denham Springs. Never seemed like a particularly good idea to me, but one or two beers probably won't do anything to a normal beer drinker. But I digress, sometimes it would be nice to be able to buy a 12 pack of fenceposts. Perfect size for grabbing a couple when working outside, and not wanting to deal with an ice chest or going back inside (and in my case, upstairs to the kitchen.)
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? Hey mods, can you change the the second packs in the thread title to ounces?
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? Saw Miller 32 oz cans for $1 each the other day. Perfect for Red Draw.
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? Do you drink Red Draw's? I had to look that term up...and I'm not sure if it sounds tasty or not! Got a particular recipe that you prefer?
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 ounces? 1. A twelve-pack of Tallboys would be huge and heavy for women. If your wife can't carry it, then you will have to go get it yourself. 2. You have to chug them fast or the beer gets warm. Better to keep the second 12 ounces on ice, while you drink the first 12.
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? they're not the 24oz cans but you can get a flat of 16oz natty light pretty cheap
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? I like to use either Snappy Tom, RedEye Texas Style Bloody Mary Mix (Original or Habanero both are fine, these are my favorites), or just plain tomato juice in a pinch. Seems to cut the carbonation a bit and I drink way to fast, have to watch myself. Just put a little juice in the glass first, then add beer. Play around a bit with the amount of juice, it doesn't take but an ounce or two to give the flavor and color.
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 ounces? I always called 16 ouncers "tall boys" and the 24 ouncers "grandes" (pronounced granday). Not that I think that is necessarily correct, I just don't know. It all goes down the same.
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 packs? doesn't matter if it "does anything" if he wants to go to jail and get his license took, mo' powa to him.
Re: Why no multi-packs of 24 ounces? oddly enough, I stopped to get gas and a powerade at the local shell-mart and they have one of those glorified ice coolers for those and as I was paying there was a dude adding some to the ice out of a case (cardboard). looked like about 20 or so in the box and looked like miller lite i think. maybe you can ask the ppl at the store if they sell em like that.
