Doesn't that give people in Georgia or Tennessee an advantage? Why don't they move it to different places every year like they do w/ the national championships. How about for once we have it somewhere in the SEC West.
I would much rather have it somewhere that is a little more neutral, but I can't think of anywhere else, except maybe Dallas, that is close enough, big enough, and more neutral...But this is such a Big 12 city that it would not work..
Personally I like it in the georgia dome. Easy travelling for me. Although it would obviously be more beneficial to us if it were at the superdome. I don't know how that wouldn't make the sec more money.
This would probably confuse things for the SEC officials, but I wish they would do a rotating Championship Game... Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville, Birmingham....???
This is a practice that has stuck in my craw for a while. Now that Good-Ol'-Boy-in-Chief Roy Kramer is out as SEC commish, let's make a good, common sense decision and have rotating sites for the SEC Championship Game. Do it the same way the Big 12 does it. Have it one year in the Northern Division's turf, and the next year in the Southern Division's turf. Since it's been in Atlanta for so long, the West goes first. Here is my rotation for the SEC Title Game. Superdome- New Orleans, LA (Western site) Adelphia Coliseum- Nashville, TN (Eastern site) Legion Field- Birmingham, AL (Western site) Georgia Dome- Atlanta, GA (Eastern site) Liberty Bowl- Memphis, TN (Western site) Alltel Stadium- Jacksonville, FL (Eastern site) Independence Bowl- Shreveport, LA (Western site) Raymond James Stadium- Tampa, FL (Eastern site) War Memorial Stadium- Little Rock, AR (Western site) Pro Player Stadium- Miami, FL (Eastern site) After 10 years, the cycle repeats itself. Just like the Big 12 does it.
