Matt Jones doesn't start football games for the Hawgs. Apparently, he plays like crap when he does. Nutt lets Sorahan play for a few series before Jones goes in. Hmmmmmmmmmm!

If LSU is hot ... and Mauck never has had two bad games in a row, we could be up 14-0 before Jones even steps on the field.

Let's compare Jones to Sorahan, wow ... big dropoff

    Name------Team-G--QBRat--Att-Comp-Pct--Yds---Y/G---Y/A-TD-Int-Sack-YdsL

    Matt Mauck-LSU-11-150.0-295--190---64-2364--215---8.0-23-11-11---0

    Matt Jones--ARK-11-153.6-204--122---60-1768--161---8.7-16-05-06---0

    R. Sorahan--ARK-10-112.1--69----32---46--509----51----7.4-02-02-05---0

So, they put this guy Sorahan in for a few series to let Jones watch the field I'm guessing ... the coaches hold his hand ... and make for a gameday plan ... I'm guessing again.

When the hell do they decise to bring him in?

Does his mommie bring him hot chocolate ... and when the coaches think the butterflies are gone from his wittle tummie ... he goes in. What the hell? The hogs perform poorly with this Sorahan character in place, just look at those stats.

STUPID GAME PLAN? ... OR REQUIRED BECAUSE JONES IS A SLOW STARTER AND PLAYS POORLY WHEN HE STARTS.

Sorahan is a big senior from California. 6-4 240+

I don't know much about the Hogs, but if what you are saying is true, what a joke!

And Arkansas proudly boasts about their QB who is not even good enough to start games for them? Wow!!!!!

Not sure, but I think Jones still lines up at WR from time to time, too.

Ramah, as much as we love to talk about football, the game is still played on the field and not on a message board. Not everything goes as planned.

You can't trash the coach for a "move" he made before the game ever starts. Hell, I agree with you, Matt Jones should start but let's wait until after the game to blast Nutt.

Ryan only plays 1 series. 99% of Hog fans thinks its stupid. The 1% is Houston Nutt. I think we are 4-0 sense he started this, but this is not going to work against LSU. We need the best players at all times in there against a very good LSU team to even have chance to win.

I'm almost positive Jones started in the win over Texas. As much as I dislike Arkansas, I loved that whuppin they put on the Horns.

I am not "blasting Nutt" over this ... LOL, that Crawfish's mind is in the gutter. Just think it's unusual ... this Sorahan has played in 10 games & isn't setting the world on fire either.

If the guy is playing only one series ... and the stats don't show it, with a coach/Jones doing sideline work AS PART OF A GAMEPLAN, Arkansas may be onto something NOVEL here.

But, if the Tigers stuff Arkansas 3 and out ... hardly anything can be gained ... IMO.
