OK, computers nowadays are pretty fast... so how come the BCS rankings aren't released moments after the human polls are released? Plug in those into the computer rankings, do the SOS and QW, add points for the losses, and you should have your BCS rankings completed within moments.
It's true, the computer polls know their answers as soon as the gun is sounded of the last college football for any given week. I can only surmise that the 2 computer polls that do not release their results until Monday afternoon (Peter Wolfe and Billingsley) do this because they are too lazy to go into work on a Sunday to update their rankings. Just a thought. Please note, that this week, we will know the results as of 4:30 PM CST Sunday since ABC's airing their BCS Selection Show.
Its sort of like that long road trip and you ate a few McRibs on the way... THe BCS is your digestive system, it churns and churns then produces a big dump.....
I disagree with you 120% here. If it were like McRibs, you would see and feel the results within 5 minutes.
I am sure people double check the input plus it's the time that they feel like releasing the rankings.
