Looking at the stats, LSU v. Bama, in a lot of ways, will be strength on strength. There is one area, though, where LSU has a distinct statistical and talent advantage: PUNT RETURNS!!!! LSU is #1 in the SEC in punt returns while the Gumps are DEAD LAST in net punting. They will try to kick away from Skyler, but doing generally means giving up field position anyway. It's going to be nice to be playing on a short field for once. PREDICTION: If the Gumps do chance it and kick to him, Skyler WILL take one to the house. That, my friends, will be the difference.
I think LSU has more going for them than that, but special teams will certainly be a big advantage going into this game.
Because LSU isn't Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, Utah State or whatever else second rate team the Tide have beaten these days on their way to an unblemished record?

I really haven't compared schedules. I am assuming that you think that you have beaten more impressive teams on your way to your ALMOST unblemished record. You gotta admit that our win over UF was WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more impressive than your win over UF. Now our win over terdersee was not gaudy or pretty while your win over terdersee..........oh, oh wait a minute, you LOST to terdersee.
