During Grad School at AU I met a belle from Plaquemine that created memories which disquiet me to this day. As she said, "You'll never forget this lil ol coonass." (She was also an LSU Grad) I do intend to send my daughter to the fast-track Veterinary Medicine program at LSU. Several years off, but it is a goal she is working for.
I think they do teach math in bammer on a "base 20" system. Once they run out of fingers and toes, it gets complicated for them. :hihi:
Let's hope that the Bama team, like our poster here, still lives in the past and take the Tigers lightly :hihi: .
actually I have no idea why people on this board hate Auburn so much. they talk less smack than any group ive seen here, including UGA, UT Ole Myth and Bammer. as for the guy you are praising, lets just say you don't know the half of it when it comes to good natured comaradery/sportsmanship. He is a very fine fellow.
Your O line has been less than stelar. good luck with that agaisnt possibly the best front four D linemen in Div 1A Force? Ok well if jamarcus is inconsistant I can buy that, but it wont be Bama's doing. No one has "forced" LSU to do anything this year. Of all the 3 and outs I've seen maybe one was an honest effort by the other teams Defense. 90% of the time We shot ourselves in the foot, not vice versa. Playmakers? who might that be? You had what one or two WR's and one is hurt? one RB and you're not deep there? Brody maybe? he gets the snap so I guess he could spread the ball around to himself. I'm looking on your roster for this deep pool of playamkers..... coming up kinda short here. Uh huh dont have to be sherlock to get this one, since Brody is the QB. Us getting to Brody is not an if it's a when. again, this is a shoot yourself thing, if do this correct Bama has a long day. Same can be said of Bama, if you have alot of turnovers... could be tough. That's any game. Reason everyone is saying this in every tough game LSU's played is because of our poor turnover ratio..... I am reminded that we gave the gators several "gifts" and they still couldnt beat us on a short field. exactly, we got you there by about a million to one and it ain't likely to change. the ONLY advantage Bama has is home field advantage. Bama also has a very good defense that is playing " I believe the bear is back" type ball. good for them. we'll either make them look silly or shoot ourselves in the foot and make them look great, but it wont be THEIR doing. if we make no turnovers and our crew brings their "A" game ..... it'll be a tough pill for Bama fans to swallow even if it's a 10 point game. if we make a ton of mistakes like we did vs Florida, I look for a close game and it'll be decided late in the 4th or OT. that's the ticker folks print it.
I've noticed that, too. In fact, being on here has caused me to hate them less than I ever have. Maybe I should leave lol. My girlfriends roommate had a couple of Aubies stay over the weekend of the game. They were very nice and did not talk smack. Friendly jabbing, but it didn't even work me up, and I'm very easy to get worked up. I've come to respect the rivalry that we have with them. They always try to deny it because of their infatuation with the Tide (lol), but just look at the past decade or so of our series and it has been a damn good one.
That's like the pot calling the kettle "black." If Bama wins, I believe that the reason will be because they executed the game plan well, did not turn the ball over as much as LSU, and had fewer costly penalties than LSU. This game can go either way. Bama has more experience at QB. That is important, and it might be the winning edge. Whoever loses will NOT have to hang their heads at all, because they will have lost to a very, very good football team. I will be just as proud of my team after the game as I am now, regardless of the outcome, but I would love to see LSU play a solid, mistake-free game for 60 minutes.
Agreed, Our o-line is young, however they held their own well enough against the best front four in the SEC right now with Tennesee. Thats not my opinion, Lsu has allowed 684 yards rushing to Tennesee's 599. But yes they will be tested all night. I think you are embellishing things a bit here with the 90%. But let’s break it down. LSU rushing is averaging 405 yards per game behind #1 Auburns 416. Bama is fourth with 389. That’s a 16 yard per game difference. Lsu passing is averaging 1727 yards to Bama’s 1864. Bama is converting 41.2% of its third downs to LSU’s 37.8. Bama averages 19 yards on first down to LSU’s 19.9. Pretty close numbers, we will call this one a push and agree that both of our feet need some rest. DJ Hall, Zeke Knight, Ken Darby synonymous with Jermarcus Russell. Joseph Addai and Skylar green. These are our playmakers right now; I am not talking about depth. However, you are mistaken with our RB depth, those we have plenty of. I am talking, and this is all I am saying is the three or four go to guys on the team. That is all I am saying, everyone knows LSU has tons of depth and we do not. That is another discussion. Brodie reads defenses as good as anyone I have ever watched, I should have elaborated more on this one. You have to find a way of disguising schemes and coverages to disrupt his rythm. Our young O-line only allowed 2 sacks against the best front four in the SEC. Brodie will have his chances to pick apart the secondary. And screens and draws can be a killer to a fast overpersuing defense. Yep, being penalized for more yardage so far than you have rushing doesn't help either. Lsu has 586 yards in PN's. Same here except exactly the opposite conclusion.
DJ yes...But to say that Zeke is a playmaker is stupid. He needs to put some stick-ums on his gloves. He has dropped a lot of balls in the little bit of game action he has seen. I think that he needs this year to develop more--but if he dont start showing some skills quick, he may never see any action in his tenure here. You left out Keith Brown. He is faster than Prothro. Not quicker, but faster. He is better than DJ after the catch. Bigger than all of our recievers. Zeke is going to have it rough the next couple of years. Pro, Hall, and Brown next year and hopefully we can get Tim Hawthorn (5 star reciever) to come to the Capstone next year. For whomever it was that said we were not deep at RB. Please...They dont play a whole lot because of Darby, but we have some big-time talent in Glen Coffee and Jimmy Johns (QB converted into RB) is averaging 5 ypc. I am really excited about JJ! I would like to see him back there under center after Brodie leaves. I think a dual-threat QB would be awesome with the recievers that we have and backfield we have. I know it's not going to happen, but I think it should. ROLL TIDE!
