Out of curiosity, what's the ticket allotment for each school for the SECCG? How many Tiger fans do you think will make the trip?

I can feel it now - not much sleep for me between now and Saturday!

I think I heard as of Saturday there was 16,000 ticket requests and 15,500 tickets available? I could be wrong - but I believe this is the TAF rumor.

By the way - ran into some Orange bowl committee members in the New Orleans airport this morning - and although we don't want to end up there - they were impressed with the game and the fans.

I'll be there early Sat. morning. BTW, do they not serve beer during the SECC game?

Beer was not served at the SEC Basketball Tourny and I was told because it was an official SEC Event. Beer was served at the Sugar Bowl but that wasn't an official SEC Event I guess. I would assume beer will not be sold at the game this weekend.

I'll be there and I can't wait. I hope that GA gets all the tickets that they want so that we're outnumbered. I hope we go into the game as underdogs. That's the same situation as in 2001. I was there then and the 15K LSU fans were much louder and having a lot more fun than the 60K UT fans. And no, they don't serve beer at the SECCG. (jerks)

I am sure it will be just like 2001 when Tennessee got all the tickets except those allotted to LSU. That didnt matter, we were concentrated in our one area and started Loud and got Louder and obviously outdid the Tennessee folks. I suspected though, that many of the Vol-attired crowd were not regulars or were high rollers who could afford the packages the tickets came in, and were no match for the LSU Hard Core that showed up. They knew how to throw down those funny looking orange roses and flee with about 2 minutes left in the game though, despondent about those non-refundable reservations they had made in Pasadena.

No doubt these Jawja folks will acquit themselves better than the Bubba and Lulu crowd, so everybody going needs to hitch it up tight and get ready for a real battle. Maybe we can really beat them this time...
