Based on past experiences, how's the tailgating up there? Assuming it's a night game, should we leave Friday night or just wait until Saturday? Do all the LSU fans congregate in one area, and if so does anyone know where it is?

Any other info. is greatly appreciated. I'll probably be making this trip.

If its a night game I'd leave Saturday so as not to have to spend too much time in StarkVegas. Of course I suspect that the LSU-Moo U game might be picked up by Jefferson Pilot so you would have to leave Friday night. I would suggest flying but I doubt that StarkVegas has an airport.

Starkvegas is like a "Pot-O-Gold" tailgating at Death Valley.......get out of their as fast you can no tellin what you might catch.

That day might turn out pretty entertaining for me. I'm scheduled to be in Memphis that weekend visiting my Rebel brother and his newborn. If game times work out, I might catch 2 games. Ole Miss plays T-Tech that day in Ox. if times work, we'll Trek to one and then the other. Need about a 4 hour cushion between games for it to work.

I am thinking about going to the game if it is a night game.

When I went 2 years ago, I couldn't find many Miss State fans tailgaiting. I did see the usual Tiger fans however. Especially near the motorhomes.

I guess it depends on what you want to do that determines when you should leave. Unless you plan on tailgating all day, there's not much else to do.

To steal a quote from Bertman "Every time we go go Starkville I ask for a room without a view." I think your IQ could drop 20 points just by spending 1 night there.

Skip has sure paid his dues. The football team at worst has to spend 1 night in StarkVegas. Skip had those 3 game weekend series to play their when he was the baseball coach. Of course he could sleep easy without worrying about his players getting into trouble unless one of them got busted for stealing a cow.

I'll be there with the wife(MSU alum) and kids. Most of the State tailgaters are around the coliseum, and are usually pretty friendly. Of course, they don't tailgate quite like we do, but who does? ;)

LOL! Skip has some great quotes about Starkville. My favorite is, "Did you hear about the tornado that hit downtown Starkville? It did $100,000 in improvements." :D

I'm planning on going to the MSU game. It'll be my 1st trip to Starkville, although we're not staying in Starkville but with a buddy of mine in Greenville.
