There were many openings that were filled before LSU started looking for their coach. Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer, Charlie Weis, Walt Harris, Tyrone Willingham, Dave Wannstadt, Les Miles, and Bo Pellini to Syracuse assuming he is hired. Assuming you could have your pick of any of these guys back in November who would you have chose. For me, if Miles wouldn't have been my last choice he would have been near the bottom. Especially considering we had to pay a huge buyout and a huge salary. We paid a higher buyout than any of these other schools and if not the highest salary, we are in the top three. I am disappointed in this hire, but Miles should be able to get nine wins out of what he has to work with next season. If Miles flops, Skip should lose his job.
Out of those guys? Urban Meyer..he seems to really have his sh#t together. After that Spurrier, Wannstadt, Miles, Weis, Willingham, Pellini, Harris - in that order.
