I just saw how the Gov. of Iraq was killed. IM thinking, who would even want to be president of that country? The election is set for Jan. 30th. I give the new president 8 months b/4 a slug hits him in the chest. You would think the US and Iraqi select few would stay off the road and travel by chopper. News flash... the roads are not safe in Iraq. It took ol Rums and the military over a year and a half to figure that out. We have just recently decided to transport supplies and troops around in Iraq via air. Who is the brain trust here? How many solders had to die on those roads to make that decision? Forget about sending extra armor how bout extra common sense? :cuss:
It was the Governor of Baghdad, not of Iraq. Nations generally do not have a Governor. Anyways, whatever you want to call it, I would not want that job.
The people who take those political jobs are brave people who know that they must do what they can to make their country safe again. Oops someone got assasinated let's pull out of Iraq and stop trying to give them a Democracy. Who would want to be president ot the US we've had at least 2 assasinated and i'm willing to bet that more people around the world want the US President dead more than they want the Iraqi President dead. I hope no one takes it upon themselves to run for President ever again and we slip into a dictatorship, that is the only way to stop the terrorists from taking over.
No. It seems like we're trying to give a large nation with a small fraction of extremists something that the majority wants, but that same small fraction does not want. Of course they wouldn't want it! They want to set up the Taliban again!
Iraq never had the Taliban, that was Afghanistan. Iraq's "terror squad" is composed of former Baathist's and just people who hate America and their own countries well being.
