first tie breaker apart from SEC conference record is the western div. record. ours is 8-2, bama is 8-1. if msu beats them, their west div record will be 8-2. while that will still yield a tie, our records vs west seeded 1-6 will be LSU even vs Alabama, 2-0 vs MSU while alabama is 1-1 vs msu. that will send us into the #1 seed.

The 3rd tie breaker is the individual record against your divisional opponents, starting from the top of the division standings. MSU will be 3rd in the division behind LSU and Bama. Should MSU beat Bama, that'll give us a 2-0 record against MSU and Bama will be 1-1.
