Although I think Georgia is the better team, their schedule is very tough playing Tennessee, @ Ark, Florida and @ Auburn. Auburn, on the other hand has Ark and Georgia @ home. As much as I despise Tubby, Auburn has the best chance to represent the SEC in the NC game. What do you guys think?

It's not likely that either team (or any other SEC team) will. This snippet from CFN explains some of the difficulty of playing in the SEC:

For argument’s sake, say Auburn gets through the regular season unbeaten. That’s not far-fetched at this point with only Ole Miss and Alabama left on the road and getting Georgia and Arkansas at home. Now, say Georgia goes 10-1 only losing on the road to Auburn, and then wins the rematch in the SEC championship game. You could make a very strong case that these two are the best teams in the nation, yet neither will get in because they beat each other and pollsters will blow them off due to the one loss. Voters, always desperate to tie things up in a nice, neat little bow, will automatically put in two unbeaten teams figuring they have the two best teams.

Exactly. I'm hoping one of the teams can pull it off though. Say it with me:

    PLAY-OFF! PLAY-OFF! PLAY-OFF!

I hope and think that UGA has the best chance of going undefeated in the SEC. I think UGA has won their last two meetings in Auburn, they should handle all of the remaining games that do not take place in Jacksonville. They HAVE to beat UF this year, this is their best chance in the entire streak.

A couple of questions that remain to be answered.....

    1. Can Georgia play the rest of the season as well as they played vs. LSU ?
I doubt it but they can probably get into the SECCG without playing as well as they did Saturday.

    2. Can Georgia beat Florida ?
    I think so.

    3. Can Georgia beat Auburn on the road ?
    I don't think so (see ? #1).

Right now, Auburn looks like the real deal. Those RBs are just so damned good and the QB looks to be much improved. Just ask the Volunteers.

AU had trouble with LSU @ home. UGA on the other hand smoked LSU in every phase of the game. Including regrouping at halftime and taking care of 2 turnovers.

UGA will or should take care of business. I don't do to good on these played there best game of the year or other catch phrases. We got drummed man on man. There was not one instance of a win on Saturday.

Congrats to the DAWGS. Represent the SEC with class and let the rivalry grow. Gotta love college football.

When the BCS dropped strength-of schedule and quality wins from consideration it practically eliminates SEC contenders who beat up on each other in the league. The SEC has 6 or 7 Top-25 teams, year-in and year-out and it is rare to go undefeated in the SEC. Hell, LSU won the conference in 2001 with 3 SEC losses!

LSU and OU got in the BCS game last year over USC with 1-loss because of SOS and quality wins only. Only by going undefeated will an SEC team get in the BCS this year. And it ain't likely. Georgia will probably beat Auburn and Florida will likely beat Georgia and we will beat Florida.

SOS is still in for this year correct? It's the future that they hosed up.
