First of all, I can't believe OSU lost :dis:
Well, I guess that's what happens when you have a coach that only cares about field goals and field position and loves to win games 12-6. OSU could've been on their way to the Rose Bowl to play USC....errr....LSU but not anymore.

    Next week it'll be:

    1. USC (45 first place votes)
    2. Texas (20 first place votes)
    3. LSU

I think LSU will start to get some first place votes once they get through a couple SEC games and they start to knock off teams like Tennessee.

    LSU will drop, IMO

Thanks Buckeye. I tried to watch a bit of your game on TiVo as I focused on our game. Can't believe you guys lost it at the end at home. A typical Mack Brown moment simply didn't materialize tonight. That's too bad.

LSU did not play like a #3 tonight. They don't deserve a #3, but if they are #3 come Monday, then I won't complain. I don't know if you watched any of our game, but we got ourselves a serious problem in the defensive backfield. I think we gave up over 500 yards in the air alone. That is a disaster. Most people thought our D would be solid this year. Maybe not. Thanks for chiming in. Good luck the rest of the way. :)

No way, ASU was good...who hops us?

No doubt we didn't play our best, but ASU played good. Good gameplan, good execution...great players, great plays.

No, I can't remember a team that dropped after they won. LSU was on the road against the 15th best team in the country. Plus no voter is going to knock down a team that just went through Hurricane Katrina.

Tennessee won and dropped, but they didn't beat a top 25 team though.

Spot on. :thumb: You have the road win against #15. You have the Katrina factor, which includes changing the game from home to away against a PAC-10 team. LSU is not likely to drop. They could be jumped from behind possibly, but they won't drop. But like I said above, we don't look like a #3 right now, but it's a long season and I am hopeful things can change with our D. I'd also like to see JaMarcus run some. He did that last year, but I don't think he ran at all tonight.
