Obama is coming on strong. I think I might vote for him, and I've never voted for a Democrat in a Presidential election before.

Hillary looked desperate during the debate--trying to grab attention, taking jabs at Obama.

He, on the other hand, is extremely Presidential. He has that "it" factor--that none of the other candidates have.

Perhaps if she had her own cigar story she might get noticed more.

Well, Red, I wasn't around for Nixon (or at least I was too young to actually remember him in office; Ford is the first President I remember), but I am getting excited about Obama.

My parents were Democrats when I was growing up, and they always voted for Democrats. My dad was driving to his polling location in November of 1980, intending to vote for Carter (however futile). As he was listening to the radio, Reagan was giving a speech at some location when he was heckled by someone in the crowd. Reagan stopped his speech and told the heckler, "Shut up!"

My dad decided then and there that he was voting for Reagan because, as he said at the time, "That is just what this country needs. A man who will speak his mind."

I'm starting to feel the same way about Obama. Perhaps I'll be an Obama Republican. Or maybe I'm siding with the Democrats because I know the Republicans aren't speaking for me on many, many issues anymore.

Of course I'm comparing the two. They are/were both described as "Presidential" when running for office.

I want to know what that means, actually.

Dark suit, striped tie, polished wingtips...Clearly excludes Hillary.
