I dont remember hearing rebuild once in the off-season. Now after a beatdown from a perennial sec cellar dweller - which forced us to take a closer look at our depth and attrition rates - turns out we got ourselves a full 2 yr project before we can be relevant again. O-face was supposed to be here bc of his recruiting prowess and to be able to maintain the status quo at the very least. Now we have neither. I haven't seen a mission statement of an organization change so quickly as it has with this staff and team. But props to the fan base for accepting it so quickly. Minus the ones disguised as empty seats I suppose. When both O and D lines are filled with non-starters it means we're in rebuild mode. This team is bad and I see no quick fix.
There has been a mass exodus. I don't know why but we've lost a bunch. They said the number tonight but I'm not certain so don't want to lie but think it was 9. And phuck rebuild. Bama never rebuilds. With our recruiting classes we should always be in the mix.
Bama sure had to rebuild at times between the Bear and the Dwarf. They are one of a very fortunate few programs that have managed to hire a once-in-a-generation coach on more than one occasion.
I agree with Tirk. O was sold to the LSU fanbase as the guy who could maintain the program. Now, all of a sudden, I'm hearing the dreaded "rebuilding" phrase, which is just code for "we suck." I thought we reloaded at LSU, but apparently, not anymore. Let's see how well the recruiting goes this year, too.
