Sorry, just the everyday run of the mill burger joints. If you had to pick from this list, what's your favorite?
I can get all of the above here BUT What-A-Burger. When we were back in Looziana over Christmas I told my wife I wanted to try a What-A-Burger, after seeing how long the drive thru line was. I REALLY like them. After going to almost every game in Tiger Stadium from '66 to '78, they really remind me of a good ol' TS burger. I am now officially P!SSED that I can't get 'em here.
That's funny 'cause I can't get an In and Out Burger here in Texas, and just to rub it in, I actually had Whataburger tonight, which is probably why I started this silly poll! Sorry to all the Sonic ice aficionados, I certainly should have included them, but Whataburger stomps 'em all in the south anyway, IMHO. :thumb:
The bride grew up in SoCal , and we make frequent trips (1-2 times a year) to visit her family there, my corporate office is there as well, so I've had I&O burgers for a long time. We didn't get In-and Out here until 6-7 years ago (about the same time Krispy Kreme showed up), but I am now officially burned out on Double Doubles. Their fries and shakes are still AWESOME, though. I would tend to go with Sonic as well. But in the late 50's there was a What-a-Burger stand near my house and they had the BEST burgers. Don't know if it is associated with the current WAB, but I need to try theirs just to see how good they are.
There used to be a Burger King in New Orleans East (Bullard, I think)that you could smell the hamburgers from the interstate. Those were the best out of your choices. If you are from the New Orleans area you just cannot beat Bud's Broiler or Lee's. I know they aren't chains, but they are still fast food at its best. Baton Rouge: Sonic, then Whataburger
Remember Fast Tracks. I liked thier burgers also. I used to always go to the one on the corner on Highland and Lee! But it was a pain in the butt to get in and out of the parking lot!!!
i cannot go out without stopping and getting a sonic diet cherry coke. crap. i wasnt planning on going out today and now i am craving a sonic burger and cherry coke! i may have to put echo in the car and take him for a ride!:grin:
