I have heard that it would benefit LSU for Bowling Green to win the game tonight. I also heard it would benefit LSU for Miami od Ohio! Who do I pull for? I also just received this link to a USA Today poll to vote on who should be #2. Every one needs to go to this site and vote!! http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2003-11-20-bcs-title-survey.htm
Here is what Bowling Green winning does for LSU: 1) LSU would only need the Syracuse win or the Boise State win 2) Miami OH is removed from the possibility of finishing 10th ahead of Georgia, which would have knocked out the -.10 QW for LSU Here is what Miami OH winning does for LSU: 1) LSU would need Syracuse to win 2) Miami OH has a slight (very slight) chance of passing USC in 2 computer polls, knocking USC down to 4th in those polls 3) Miami OH could end up 10th in the BCS should LSU destroy Georgia in the SEC CG I think that Bowling Green is the obvious choice.
Its easy to remember who we're pulling for this weekend. If they're not wearing purple & gold, they're wearing ORANGE on some part of their uniform: Bowling Green Syracuse Boise State Oregon State
we still have to beat Georgia. But all of those other games are shaping up in our favor. Boise St. is flat awesome for a team not in a BCS conference, better than TCU. (FT. WORTH BOWL will tell) Bowling Green lost to Miami once already so if that old theory that you can't beat a good team twice(especially when the losing team from the first game is at home, sound familiar?) then Bowling Green should win tonight. Paul P.(sorry I can't spell his name so I am not even going to try) is on the hot seat at Syracuse and he is a players coach so I think his players will be fired up to win for him, especially if it means keeping Notre Dame out of a bowl. I think all of these teams will win but we have to take care of our business. I watched the Arkansas game in person and it was the first game I got to attend this year and if they play anywhere close to that then we will be going to New Orleans to play Oklahoma.
