is as plain as the nose on your face:

    Tommy Big-Ears Tubberville!

    Think about it...

He fits Mal's criteria, an experienced winning coach whose won championships (SEC). He knows the state of Alabama and can upgrade Bama's recruiting in Georgia where he is much more successful than Bama has ever been. Also, you crush your worst rival at the same time that you hire your new coach!

Sure, he's done a few things that were disrespectful towards the Capstone over the years, but so has Spurrier (reported them) and Saban, and that didn't stop the Bamas from getting all frothy over the prospect of pulling in one of them, I'm sure they could get over it in time.

I think I need to call Finebaum...

At this point they'd probably be happy just to have one of his ears.

Hire Stallings again. He is the only one that is going to fit their criteria at this point. He is as close to the carcass of Bear as Bama can get.

I saw Mort down at the boiled-peanut stand on Hwy. 41, and he assures me it's a "done deal"

Actually from what I hear, TT would be a good hire.

He has another quality not mentioned above.

HE HAS NEVER LOST IN BRYANT-DENNY!!!

I read this comment on a Bama Blog regarding who their new coach should be:

"No not Spurrier. Does anyone want to see one of his fits on the same sideline that the Man walked. No way. We hire Spurrier and we become Auburn. Football whores that would hire the Devil himself to win."

I'm thinking... before they get a coach, they need a new, virgin stadium and a visit from Ghostbusters.

That line reminds me of "Children of the Corn"--"He who walks between the rows..."
