I have been a HUGE Saints fan for all of my life up until probably two seasons ago, when suddenly, I started getting REAL fed up with Benson and his B.S. Would a new stadium be nice?? You bet....If money grew on trees, or if the Saints actually started winning playoff games and not be the NFL's Sorry Sad Sacks for 30 or their 37 years. The Saints were one of the most supported teams in the NFL back in the late '80's and early '90's and we couldn't even win a playoff game. We've seen expansion teams make the Super Bowl before we won our 2nd playoff game! and yet Benson still attempts to threaten to move the team. As a "former" Saints fan, I held my end of the deal. I paid to go to games when I barely had money to eat (college student). I used to have words with any other Saints fan that would say that they "didn't stand a chance" before the game even kicked off. And what did Benson ever do in return??? Constant inept performances. The only way I can see myself becoming a Saints fan ever again is the day that Tom Benson isn't the owner.
Dolphins. That's the 1st entire Saints game I've seen in 2 years. Man, that Aaron Brooks is something ain't he. :hihi: What a loser. And the defense? Wow. Didn't we all know this would be Ricky Williams' coming out party? What a team of chumps.
It is amazing how the "Dolphin fans" come out in full commission AFTER the game! typical front-running Saints fans!
It doesn't bother me... but it was like 6-1 Saints until Miami started to win... Then the front-runners posted
Preface: I don't really care who won or loss. When Saban was introduced as the Miami head coach I stood up and clapped and booed at the same time. I did find myself clapping for the Saints during the third quarter. Oh well, at least I am not upset. They met my expectations....... By the way, upper deck tickets are terrible. No way would I pay again to ever sit in a seat up there. Not even for a LSU game. At least I know now.
I've been a lifelong Saints fan. Been there when Archie was getting killed, been there through the bumbling and myriad losses. Was there in the few good years under Bobby Hebert. Not since Marge Schott have a seen such a despicable sports owner as Benson. Given the choice of cheering for the San Antonio/LA Saints or Saban/Muschamp, I'll go with the Dolphins.
