Who are we scheduling in the future? Who have we already scheduled?

Anyone know if we're in talks with certain schools (obviously OOC) for the upcoming years.

I notice that next year we have two weeks without an opponent scheduled. Then the year after next it looks like we scheduled Houston (I'm ok with that) and N. Texas (I hope this is only a place holder and we end up giving them some money so we can play someone better). For 2010-2011 we have Wyoming scheduled (I don't know anything about them) and an open date.

Honestly, I think that is pretty poor. We really need at least one enticing OOC game and those schedules don't cut it for me. I think it would be very advantageous, especially from a recruiting aspect, to get back into it with those freaks from A&M. It would help our Tejas recruiting. Maybe schedule some other strategically placed (in a geographic way) opponents. That means going on the road too. Also, I'd really really love to see some ooc home and home with a team from the big10 or big east. I'd love to destroy Rutgers up in Piscataway and then again in Death Valley. A marquee game with Michigan or OSU would also be terrific. And for the love of God can we please schedule a regular season game with USC?

Neither me, they are, after all, in the Mountain West Conf. I pulled this for you........well, us.

Wyoming's record the last four years......course Nootch'll say it don't meant nuttin.

    '03'04........4-8 in ‘03
'04-'05.......9-4 in ’04 and did beat UCLA and Mississippi
    '05-'06.......4-7
    '06-07........6-6, third in the MW

Looks like they were a flash in the pan in '04.

You forgot to include the 2-0 record over Ole Miss during that span. :hihi:

I would not mind seeing the Tigers play teams such as Purdue, Wisconsin or Wake Forest.

We wont schedule Big 10 teams because of the bowl tie ins.

Not too thrilled over Wyoming, they typically suck. However, I like the fact we had pac 10 OOC games the last couple years and V-Tech this year. We need to keep scheduling teams from the BCS conferences for OOC games instead of a crappy Wyoming.

I'd love more ACC matchups, specifically Maryland so it would be Alma Mater vs Alma Mater at my household. I also wouldn't mind playing Navy, as there are several alums in Mr GGH's family, they are a cut above the other service academy teams, and I'd love to watch LSU to play on their campus.

    Others:

    A&M
    Texas
    Nebraska
BYU (OMG, dryest campus in the US for 10 years running vs one that's, well, not)
    Louisville

alma mater vs. alma mater is a situation i get to experience. in baseball its more of a true rivaly and both of us have won some the past few years. in football there's no contest. i keep smack talk relatively mild and to some tigerbaiting before and none after due to his feeling over his team getting a good ass whoopin.

i wouldnt mind an ou series. i still have fun with the sugar bowl/nc win and i still have a fun rivalry with a good friend over it. i don't think we ever see each other without engaging in a bit of smack talk, still. a few more wins and i could get a real good advantage.

i can imagine the culture shock some byu fans would be in for with a trip to br and tiger stadium.

Wyoming, Southern Miss, Houston, Tulane, North Texas, Troy State on the schedule through 2010. I have no idea why we pay someone to schedule. A fricking idiot could schedule these crappy teams for a beer or two.

Two TBA games next year. We'll see if they opt for a decent home/away series or give us two more crappy home games. Troy State and Tulane are the other two crappy home games.

I know we are doing a home and home with TCU starting in like 2011.
