You cant be serious. "I think he passes up Tubby this year".... you can either coach are you cant coach. This year LSU has a better team than Kentucky not a better coach. Brady is doing a good job of coaching this year, but whos the better coach is not even a question.
Train last time I checked LSU doesn’t use a GM Brady put this team together. He has them clicking on all cylinders and this could be the year Brady throws Tubby to the ground and chokes him out.:bball: :bball: :bball:
Oh, I get it you judge a coach by how good his team plays that year. And just ommit what he has done in the past. Lets take a look at CJB track record, lets take a look at Tubby's track record. True, recruiting is a part of coaching, but well let me make it easy for you. If you're an AD of a primetime college and you have your choice of either Tubby or Brady, who do you hire? I like Brady, but who is a better coach, man come on.
If I had a choice to go to LSU or Kentucky next year I would have to wait and see if the guys are going to stick around or go pro. If they decide to come back then I would have to pick Brady. I think LSU has a legit chance of doing some wonderful things next year if these guys stick around. Basketball has changed to the point to where you have to revamp your starting lineup every year. Brady is starting to become extremely good at doing that. In my opinion he will pass Tubby as the best coach in the SEC this year. I think Brady will be heading to the NBA in the next 5 years.
bold statement, dog. tub has the biggest name in bball--how can you not recruit well, brady has an average name. tub has tons of boosters and $$$. brady has a hard time getting new seats put in an old arena. tub is allowed to get back stupid players that declare for the nba too soon by magically "finding" some fax, brady would get crucified for similar lies. im curious. who has more mcdonalds AAs on their roster? but brady is not a better coach than tub. this shows that brady is a good coach however and how up and down coaching bball these days is.
Youre saying that you take John brady over Tubby smith? How many final fours has Brady been too? elite 8s? sweet 16s? second round of the tournament? Just because KY is a little down this year and lsu is having a good year doesnt mean that brady is a better coach. Have you watched many brady coached teams? To even compare brady to tubby smith makes me lose all respect for your basketball analytical skills. Tournament success is weighed heavily towards tubby. tubby is the better coach. And from most of the people in the know, butch pierre does more when it comes to recruiting and putting the team together, not brady.
Primarily because I am duty bound to disagree with Venice, I'd have to give the nod to Tubby based upon his past performances.
